During her studies, Kayla attended a mentorship program at the Department of Justice (DOJ) under various DOJ offices such as the Office of the Family Advocate, the Commission of Conciliation Mediation and Arbitration (the CCMA), the Office of the State Attorney, the National Prosecuting Authority (the NPA), and the Office of the Chief State Law Advisor. Her time at the DOJ gave her insight into the practical workings and interests of internal state organs covering a vast array of legal disciplines.
Kayla began her legal career by serving her articles at the reputable firm, Marais Muller Hendricks (MMH), where she gained practical experience and honed her skills in a variety of legal disciplines. Her dedication and drive saw her qualify as both a Conveyancer and Notary Public, credentials that paved the way for her to specialize in high-level property transactions and notarial work.
With a vision to make a lasting impact in the legal profession, Kayla co-founded Albertus Johaardien Agulhas Incorporated as a Director, where she now leads with expertise and integrity. She is widely respected for her comprehensive knowledge of property law and conveyancing, and she has earned a reputation as a specialist in the drafting of Antenuptial Contracts—a testament to her meticulous attention to detail and client-focused approach.
