History:

Barney Creighton commenced his articles with Chris van Zyl Attorneys in Meyerton and completed it with the Potchefstroom Justice Center. He then joined Ben Steyn Inc in Boksburg at the end of 2001 and where he ran the litigation department for 3 years. He attended to Hich Court -, Lower Court - , Central Divorce Court -, District Court -, Regional Court and Labour Court Litigation. He built experience in Family Law, Law of Succession, Law of Contracts, Law of Delict (Personal Injury claims), Motor vehicle colisisions, Urgent High Court Litigation, Defending Restraint of Trade Claims, Criminal Law and Employment Law disputes. During 2004 Barney was lead to open Creighton Attorneys a sole proprietorship which later became Creighton and Associates Inc and Creighton Attorneys Gauteng Inc was birthed. Thousands of clients have been served over the years.

Barney Creighton completed his legal degree (B Proc) in 1988 when he graduated from the University of the Northwest (then called "Die Potchefstroomse Universiteit vir Christelike Hoger Onderwys") He also completed a certificate in Labour Law at the same university and later in private practice attended and completed a course in Conveyancing with Gawie Le Roux.

Barney believes in the upliftment of the community and does not look down on anyone, he can find common ground with anyone of all walks of life or status.

Encouragement is his gift, and has on numerous occasions received feedback from clients that they felt encouraged during and after consulting him. One client said, "this does not feel like a law firm, this feels like a doctor's consulting rooms."

Barney takes zero credit for his successes but credits God who gives him favor, wisdom and strategy.

Barney respects his colleagues and does not Lord himself over anyone, is humble and focused on reaching a fair outcome economically and quickly for his clients.
