Hannelie Lombaard obtained her B Iuris degree from the University of the Free State and her LLB degree from UNISA. Hannelie worked for the Department of Justice for ± 15 years, during which she served as State Prosecutor, Magistrate and Regional Magistrate. Hannelie has been in private practise for 21 years and specializes in Family Law (Divorce, Maintenance, Care and Contact, Custody, Mediation, Facilitation, Collaborative Divorce) and Criminal Law. She previously served on the Criminal Law Committee of the Law Society of the Cape of Good Hope and has been the Treasurer of the Local Circle of Attorneys for quite some time. Hannelie is also a FAMAC accredited Mediator who deals with pre and post divorce mediations, as well as a facilitator who deals with post divorce facilitations, which she does in conjunction with Dr Etna Kotze, a social worker and also an accredited mediator and facilitator of FAMAC. She is currently also serving as Treasurer on the FAMAC executive committee. Hannelie also completed Collaborative Law training in March 2013 and is now a member of the newly established Collaborative Law structure, NACP, in South Africa.
