Our firm has five service points. This distinguishes us from many other firms and has the result that we can serve clients in the magistrate's court districts of Randburg, Johannesburg, and Roodepoort and Johannesburg High Court without using a correspondent in any way whatsoever. This fact makes us more accessible to clients as well as other parties for puposes of having consultations at an address which will be convenient for a client or other party.

History

Our firm has its origins in Potgietersrus where the late Mr Robert Dewar established a legal practice in 1923. The late Mr Dewar was succeeded by Edward Rex Chapman during or about 1932. In 1957 Nelson Borman relocated from Pretoria to Potgietersrus and joined the firm of ER Chapman. The practice gradually developed and eventually became an incorporated practice known as Borman, Snyman & Barnard Inc. In 1985 the Potgietersrus firm decided to expand and, more specifically, towards the south of Potgietersrus. A branch office was pursuant to the aforegoing established in Johannesburg in August 1985. The two practices separated in 1989, leading to the establishment of Nelson Borman & Partners Inc.
