Julius At Law Attorneys provides affordable professional legal services to the general public and indigent who cannot afford legal services at private law firms. The firm specialises in general civil litigation which include family law and human rights law but also offers value added services which includes public notary services.

Background
Julius At Law is a small attorney’s firm established in June 2018 as a sole proprietor in one of the very sort after suburbs of the Metropolitan City of Cape Town. The law firm is commonly known as JAL situated in one of the Helderberg’s residential neighbourhood of Somerset West, on the periphery of the CBD just off the main road. The firm was established by qualified ex- teacher, Christian Gonnan Julius who obtained his LLB degree at the UNISA and is practising as the sole practitioner with appearance in the High Court of South Africa.

Mr Julius was admitted as an attorney on 5 February 2010 and has been practising since, previously at the Law Clinic, US where he specialised in civil litigation, more specifically eviction legislation and human rights matters for nearly a decade.  The business start-up was financed by the sole proprietor’s personal funds and was no loans taken out. 

Description & Service
JAL Attorneys’ professional services include mediation and civil litigious and non-litigious legal services to the general public in the Helderberg area including as part of its core services, human rights law to indigent communities of the broader Western Cape province through serving on various panels which include the Judicare program of Legal Aid South Africa and LRMF Legal Services Project of the Department of Rural Development and Land Reform and City of Cape Town.
