FAMILY LAW
We specialise in Divorce (contested and uncotested). We assist in matters where you cant locate your estranged spouse and serve via substituted service. We assists in mediation so as to reach a settlement and avoid unnecessary trial costs.
We assist in applications for child and spousal maintenance. spousal maintenance can be claimed in situations where the spose was fully dependant on the other spouse and she/ he can prove that claim (make sure that monthly allowance is deposited into an account, dont accept his/her card lol).
We can assist in access to your child where mother or father is making it impossible and fighting his/her battles through the child (i've seen so many of those *sigh). We can assist in an application for legal gaurdianship, shared custody, liasing with family advocate to get an enquiry in terms of parental rights and responsibilities and appearance in maintenance court.
ADMINISTRATION OF DECEASED ESTATES
We are dedicated to ensuring a smooth winding up of the deceased estate with limited drama from family members. We assist in reporting the estate, obtaining letters of authority and executorship, gathering all assets, drfting liquidation and distribution accourt, attending to the advertisments and distribution of the assets. Winding up an estate where there is a will is easy and takes about 6 months.
Winding up an estate that has no will can take up to 1 year to three years depending on the complexity of each case.
