Hyran van Schalkwyk is the Director and founding attorney of HvS Attorneys, a boutique law firm based in Illovo, Sandton. He holds a Bachelor of Social Science (cum laude) and an LLB, and is admitted to practice as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa (LPC No. 104504).

Hyran's academic background in the social sciences gives him an unusually well-rounded perspective on the human dimensions of legal problems. He approaches each matter analytically — identifying the core issues early and developing practical, proportionate strategies rather than defaulting to the most expensive or adversarial route.
