Attorney, Conveyancer, Notary Public & Arbitrator
Mirinda was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 1999 and qualified as a conveyancer and notary public in 2006. She holds the degrees of B.Proc, LLB, and BA.HSSS (Applied Psychology for Professional Contexts), along with several certificates in legal and professional studies.
As a qualified arbitrator, Mirinda obtained her Certificate in Arbitration from the Association of Arbitrators (Southern Africa) in 2011 and was invited to become a Fellow of the Association in 2015.
Her legal career began as a professional assistant and later partner at a Johannesburg law firm, after which she founded and managed her own practice in Knysna. In 2012, she was admitted as an advocate of the Cape Bar after successfully completing the Bar Association’s admission examinations. She practised as an advocate until 2020, when she joined Standard Bank as Senior Manager in the Foreclosure Department. Mirinda returned to private practice in January 2024, bringing with her extensive experience in litigation, property, and commercial law.
Mirinda also serves as a Commissioner for the Small Claims Court in Cape Town.
Her areas of expertise include High Court banking and general litigation, property law and developments, mortgage bond registrations, family law, mediation and arbitration, as well as notarial services — including the drafting of notarial contracts, authentication of documents, and the issuance of apostille certificates.
