History:

Janél matriculated in 1990 at the Afrikaans High School, Kroonstad. She studied at Kroonstad Technical College and obtained an N6 certificate in 1992.

She started working as a legal secretary at Grimbeek, Hart and Van Rooyen Attorneys in Kroonstad in 1993 and from 1999 – 2006 at De Hart, Kruger, Basson & Schoeman Attorneys.
