History:

Jan Harm Smith graduated with an LLB degree from the University of South Africa. He started his articles of clerkship at Grové Attorneys in Krugersdorp under the mentorship of Braam Grové (Principal). During his articles of clerkship, Jan completed a 5-year practical vocational training program while completing his LLB degree. It was during this 5-year training that he was exposed to the entire spectrum of the legal field. He was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa in October 2020. He has overall more than 6 years of experience in the legal industry, particularly in assisting a variety of clients with complex legal matters. He has a particular interest in civil litigation and criminal law. Jan is currently practicing as an attorney at the offices situated in Roodepoort.
