Rona Evans

Rona is a partner practising in both the Durban and Johannesburg offices. She advises local insurers in relation to coverage disputes, policy response and interpretation, subrogated recoveries and advice on insurance regulatory aspects. Rona’s areas of expertise include professional indemnity, property/assets, public liability and personal injury insurance. She also has experience in product liability and financial lines insurance. More recently, Rona has gained extensive experience in broker liability claims. Rona obtained both her BCom (majoring in economics and law), together with her LLB from the University of Cape Town.

She also has experience in both private dispute resolution and High Court litigation. Rona joined Cox Yeats in January 2019 as a candidate legal practitioner. She became an associate in March 2021, having been admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
