History:

I was admitted to practice as an attorney in May 2014. I was granted the right of appearance in the High Court of South Africa in 2017 and admitted to practice as a conveyancer and notary in 2021.

I have extensive experience in commercial law, and in particular the following areas:

  • litigation;
  • insolvency law;
  • company law;
  • drafting and negotiation of agreements.

I further have experience in family law, with emphasis on:

  • litigation;
  • divorce law;
  • maintenance law;
  • ante-nuptial agreements;
  • wills and trusts;
  • administration of deceased estates.

Whilst I am only recently admitted to practice as a conveyancer, I was exposed to many aspects thereof in the firm I was previously a partner in. I am looking forward to developing this aspect of my practice, as I believe there is scope to render conveyancing services much more efficiently than is the norm at present.

Prior to embarking upon a legal career path in the late 2000s, I was involved in the financial markets in various capacities as a trader and risk manager in the foreign exchange, bond, commodity, equity, credit markets and derivatives thereon from 1986 onwards.

I obtained my B.Com (economics) degree from the University of Pretoria in 1986 and my LLB from UNISA in 2011.

If I'm not working, you will probably find myself on the trails around Gauteng and elsewhere in the country when I can get the chance.
