Dr. Anandroy (Roy) Ramdaw is a globally recognized legal practitioner whose distinguished career spans over four decades of unwavering dedication to the law. With 43 years of experience as a practicing Attorney in South Africa and 38 years as a Conveyancer, his legal footprint extends significantly across the globe. He is an admitted Solicitor in England and Wales of 25 years standing, a Barrister and Solicitor in Australia of 21 years standing, and a Foreign Lawyer in Mauritius, where he serves as an expert consultant with the leading firm Steven and Associates. In recognition of his exceptional leadership and international contributions, Dr. Ramdaw was recently awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Law by a university in Paris, France, and admitted as a member of the esteemed Association of European Attorneys.

A formidable figure in employment law and dispute resolution, Dr. Ramdaw has left an indelible mark on the South African judicial landscape. Judicially trained through a specialized Canada-South Africa program, he served as a CCMA Accredited Commissioner from 1996 to 2006, independently handling over 2,500 labor disputes and issuing more than 500 arbitration awards. His landmark award in Shoprite Checkers v Ramdaw N.O. was confirmed by the Labour Appeal Court in 2001, setting a definitive benchmark for assessing review applications. His profound expertise led to two invitations to serve as an Acting Judge in the Labour Court, where he authored 12 published, precedent-setting judgments. Globally, he acts as a trained international arbitrator affiliated with the London Court of International Arbitration, the Mauritius Court of International Arbitration, and the BRICS Legal Forum.

Deeply rooted in the fight for justice and constitutional democracy, Dr. Ramdaw is a renowned human rights lawyer. Prior to South Africa's democratic transition, he courageously defended numerous political detainees, most notably representing President Cyril Ramaphosa and 60 others in 1991. His vast legal knowledge and lived experiences have made him a sought-after global speaker. In 2019, he delivered a profound lecture titled "Life under apartheid and lessons from their lives," focusing on the legacies of Gandhi and Mandela, to hundreds of international delegates at the University of Delhi. This was later podcast to over 500 academics and students at the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. That same year, he also addressed the BRICS Legal Conference in Rio de Janeiro.

Today, Dr. Ramdaw continues to actively shape the legal profession, serving on vital professional bodies including GITAC, the Law Society of South Africa (LSSA), and the National Association of Democratic Lawyers (NADEL). Bringing decades of high-level experience to complex civil, commercial, criminal, labor, constitutional, and construction litigation, he remains a dedicated advocate renowned for his professional, cost-effective, and results-driven approach.
