History:

Lloyd is an associate based at Van der Spuy & Partners’ Paarl office, where he provides general litigation services to clients both in the private and public sector. Lloyd also oversees the Debt Collection Department.

Lloyd grew up in the Northern Suburbs and attended Fairbairn College in Goodwood. Thereafter, he attended Stellenbosch University where he obtained his BA degree in law and English in 2014 and his LL.B degree in 2016.

Lloyd developed an interest in law after being exposed to a court trial while in high school. This inspired him to embark on a legal career. While studying, Lloyd also invested in developing his litigation skills by participating in various moot courts and mock trials. He believes that his current exposure to the procedural aspects of High Court litigation is forming a strong foundation for his future as a litigant.

Lloyd has a keen interest in commercial litigation and aspires to frequently litigate in the superior courts on complex commercial matters. His calm demeanor puts his clients at ease and his commitment to the smallest detail ensures that he has regard to every aspect of a matter. He strives to ensure the best protection for his clients.
