History:

Sonja van den Heever is the Managing Director of Van den Heever Attorneys ( t/a VDH Attorneys). Her law journey started when she enrolled for a LLB degree at the University of the Western Cape in 2006. She completed the degree in 2010.

Thereafter she completed her Postgraduate Certificate in Preparing for Legal Practice in 2010. In 2011 she commmences articles with the Legal Aid Board of South Africa. She subsequently completed articles and started Van den Heever Attorneys (t/a VDH Attorneys) in 2013.

Sonja initially concentrated on Criminal Defence litigation and subsequently expanded into Family law litigation including Divorces, Protection orders. With a growing practice she expanded into Civil and Commercial Litigation including Debt collection, Property related matters and drafting commercial contracts.

The firm drafts free wills for the general public, and has a well established administration of deceased estates department.

The firms clients include individuals, businesses including sole proprietors, Close Corporations, Companies and Government.

Sonja has build up Van den Heever attorneys to where she now employees attorneys and candidate attorneys. Her astude mind and passion for the law with a "NEVER SAY DIE" attitude, helped her establish a truly diverse legal practice.
