Sunil Hansjee

Sunil practices in the Employment and Labour Team. He has been in practise as an admitted attorney in South Africa for almost 10 years and has his High Court Rights of appearance.

He commenced practise at a boutique employment law firm and then joined Cox Yeats Attorneys as an associate in 2016. In 2017 Sunil was appointed as a partner and remained in practise in the Employment and Labour Team. He mainly advises employer clients on complex matters involving discipline, organisational restructuring, employee incapacity, incompatibility, section 197 business transfers, collective bargaining and restraint of trade matters.

Sunil has also represented high profile employee clients in internal disciplinary hearings permitting legal representation. He has also represented both employer and employee clients at the CCMA, bargaining councils, Department of Labour enquiries, inquests, Labour Court and Labour Appeal Court.

He also chairs complex disciplinary enquiries involving high profile employees.
