History:

Whitney is a graduate of the University of the Western Cape and an Associate at Adriaans Attorneys. In the limited time and under the guidance of Ashley Adriaans, she has gained experience in general commercial litigation including contractual and delictual disputes, lease and property disputes, evictions, debt collection claims and general company secretarial work.

Whitney has, since commencing her articles at Adriaans Attorneys, rendered legal services, inter alia, to the Land and Agricultural Development Bank of South Africa (“Land Bank”), Engen Petroleum Limited (“Engen”) and the City of Cape Town (“The City”), under the supervision of her principal, Ashley Adriaans. Whitney has also assisted her principal in the registration of various companies and assisted him in the firm’s company secretarial department.

In the performance of rendering legal services Whitney was requested, inter alia, to attend consultations on behalf of and with clients and counsel (both senior and junior), and to assist in drafting correspondence, pleadings, notices for these clients in various types of matters, including but not limited to contractual claims, delictual claims and matrimonial matters. Whitney has also assisted Ashley Adriaans in numerous High Court and Magistrates’ Court matters and has appeared in the Magistrates’ Court for and on behalf of Adriaans Attorneys when required to do so.
