I am an experienced sole practitioner, offering sophisticated, quality work . I have frequently successfully litigated/resolved disputes in high profile matters, including most recently in the "secret ballot" case in the Constitutional Court, where I acted for an amicus curiae (United Democratic Movement v Speaker of the National Assembly and Others CCT/89/2017). I have experience in various areas of law and represent/have represented a number of chief executive officers, managing directors and senior management as well as companies, non profit organisations, parties and individuals in relation to disputes. I have experience in administrative law, constitutional law, commercial law, labour law and unlawful competition, and have also acted in relation to mass disaster claims. A large part of my practice is devoted to advising clients on will and estates and administering estates.

I commenced practice for my own account in October 2007, having previously worked at medium and small sized firms offering quality work in Johannesburg. I first practised law at a well-known Manhattan law firm in the late 1980s, after completing an LLM at the University of Pennsylvania, USA in 1987. I have a BA (1983) LLB (1986) from the University of the Witwatersrand. I am admitted as an attorney, notary and coveyancer in South Africa and as an attorney in New York, USA.
