History:

Mpho Mogodi  is passionate about the protection of human rights and access to social justice for the most vulnerable members of the community.

Vested in building a socially cohesive society, he is an avid activist when it comes to access to basic human rights such as education, housing and healthcare.

He gained valuable experience in human rights litigation as a staff attorney at ProBono.Org. He also was responsible for various legal clinics and projects, such as housing, deceased estates, refugee and a deeds clinic. Project work he was involved in included the Family House Project – which seeks to amend the law to recognise the family house, access to women’s land rights, providing legal services to Stateless children, Migrants and Asylum Seekers in Musina at the border, between the Limpopo province and Zimbabwe.

Committed to social justice, Mpho has assisted clients with the reversal of illegal property transactions, defended evictions, and helped refugees obtain proper documentation to regularise their stay in the country, observing and upholding Human rights

He strives to see the rights in the Constitution to be the lived reality of many, and not merely paper rights. The core fundamentals of his practice are to have clients receive competent legal service, and to treat clients with respect, Dignity and uBuntu.
