Marie-Claire Willys is an Associate and Conveyancer at the firm who started her legal career in 2015. She completed her articles of clerkship at a medium-sized law firm after which she was admitted as an attorney. Having a passion for property law she spent a further 3 years at another medium-sized property law firm where she gained invaluable experience relating to commercial property and real estate law working with high-profile property developers and property funds as well as various financial institutions. She is an admitted Conveyancer and in 2020 joined NGInc. She prides herself on the efficient handling of property-related transactions and will guide clients throughout the process from drafting and negotiating agreements to the transfer of the property.

Marie-Claire’s experience involves legal services which include:

Commercial Property Matters in respect of the drafting of all forms of agreements pertaining to property law including lease, sale, development, and shareholders’ agreements as well as security documents
Property Litigation
Due diligence investigations
Conveyancing, including subdivisions and consolidations as well as the opening of township registers and sectional title schemes, assisting with transfers of large-scale developments and individual properties and bond registrations
Notarial Services, including the drafting of notarial tie agreements and servitudes as well as antenuptial contracts
Assisting various South African Banks by vetting new instructions, checking loan agreements, security documents and mortgage bonds, interfacing with the Legal Risk Departments at the various banks, signing the documents with clients and registering the bonds at the Deeds Office
