History:

Hanneke obtained her LLB degree (with distinction) from the University of Pretoria in 2010, followed by a research-based LLM degree in Medical Law (with distinction) and an LLM degree in Constitutional and Administrative Law from the same institution. She was the top student in the Faculty of Law for the duration of her undergraduate studies and received the Vice-Chancellor and Principal’s Medal for the highest achieving graduate. She served her articles at MacRobert Inc in the Professional Indemnity Law Department, where after was admitted as an attorney in 2015. She is a Senior Associate in the Professional Indemnity Law Department, where her practice is focussed on dispute resolution and ethical and regulatory aspects of the healthcare sector. She has a special interest in applied ethics in the healthcare sector and holds an MPhil degree in Bioethics (with distinction) from the University of Stellenbosch.
