Hlengiwe obtained her LLB degree in 2014 from the University of Pretoria. During her studies, she was appointed as an executive member of the Law House representing law students in the faculty. She also actively involved herself in awareness programmes hosted by the faculty, such as Educating Prisoners About Human Rights (EPAHR). She applied herself in student development through the First-Year Female Mentorship Programme in her residence. Hlengiwe was admitted as an attorney and obtained her right of appearance in 2016. She joined MacRobert as an associate in the Corporate and Commercial Department in August 2018. Her focal practice areas are corporate and labour law and she is looking forward to honing her skills and attaining expertise in these fields. Hlengiwe aspires to be one of the brilliant legal minds specialising in labour or employment-related matters.
