Janet was admitted as an attorney in 2011 in the Free State High Court (once the legal capital of South Africa) after having completed her LL.B and articles in Bloemfontein.

In Pretoria she mostly practiced general civil litigation (High - and Lower Courts) and commercial law.

Janet's interest in family law, more particularly collaboration and mediation to effectively resolve disputes among parties while preserving relationships got her to move to Cape Town where she has  been mostly working in the family law arena. She has never lost her love for general civil litigation as well as appearing and arguing in court, albeit in a family law dispute or other matters. When it comes to family disputes, however, she does consider it as a last resort.

Janet also does our deceased estates and assist families to draft wills or wind-up a loved one’s estate with dignity and care.
