Sean was educated at Rhodes University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in History, Legal Theory and Philosophy, an Honours Degree in Philosophy, a Master’s Degree in Philosophy and an LLB. He completed his practical training at the Rhodes University Legal Aid Clinic in Grahamstown and thereafter worked as an associate at a firm in Bedfordview. Before forming Ramsden Small Attorneys, Sean Practiced for his own account as Sean Ramsden Attorney.
Sean’s practice is centred around high-end civil litigation, contractual disputes, commercial drafting, chairing of enquiries and labour law compliance, although his experience extends to most areas of law, including but not limited to criminal law, company law and family law. Sean acts and has acted for various high nett worth individuals, blue chip clients, firms of attorneys and individual attorneys.
Sean chairs disciplinary hearings on a regular basis and has been a part-time lecturer in Commercial Law, teaching UNISA courses at Boston City Campus. He has also lectured at Rhodes University, has trained paralegals and law students, presented seminars, been a guest on radio shows and written reports for newspapers and conferences.
