Specialisations and interests: Shane is an experienced maritime and international trade lawyer who also deals with ‘wet work’ (collisions, salvage, groundings and wreck removals), general admiralty claims and arrests, shipbroking, ship building and finance as well as air law. Customs advice and litigation is also a particular focus of his expertise.
Service on boards and associations: Shane is a member of MLA and past member of Exco. He is a member of both the Chartered Institute of Ship Brokers and IBA and is honorary member of Master Mariners Association. Shane has published numerous papers on maritime and air law in specialist publications, whilst also contributing the South African chapters in two international publications on air law.
