Gregory Nicholas Daniels joined C&A Inc as a Professional Assistant in April 2003. He became a director in March 2008 and is also a director of EnAct International.
Since joining C&A Inc, Gregory has acquired extensive experience in drafting legal opinions and advising clients on various aspects of environmental and planning law, the preparation of legal registers and the drafting of legislation for the Western Cape Department of Environmental Affairs and Development Planning and the national Department of Environmental Affairs. Gregory also regularly provides input regarding marine and coastal matters to officials and NGOs in matters relating to marine and coastal environment in conjunction with the University of Cape Town’s Environmental Evaluation Unit. He conducted a study of the public participation process in environmental decision-making of the various SADC countries.
Gregory is very experienced in High Court litigation on environmental matters. He is currently involved in the MaccSand matter which is to be heard by the Supreme Court of Appeal. He also provides extensive opinions for clients in the mining and renewable energy sectors. He has successfully opposed mining applications in the administrative appeals process.
