History:

 Kenneth obtained a B.Proc. degree from the University of Pretoria during 1996. He served articles in both Gauteng and the Eastern Cape and during this time obtained broad experience in, amongst others, Criminal- and Civil Law, asset liquidation and property matters.

During 1998 he was approached by Moolmans Attorneys Inc. to take up position as a Professional Assistant specialising in Environmental Law and was shortly thereafter admitted as an attorney in the High Court of South Africa. During 2000, he was appointed as Associate at the firm.

Both as Professional Assistant and Associate, Kenneth served an extensive corporate client base in the provision of broad strategic as well as issue specific Environmental Legal advice, mostly in close cooperation with a range of other consulting disciplines including engineering, geohydrology, public participation, impact assessment, toxicology etc.

During 5 years of specialisation, he obtaining extensive experience in law pertaining to waste management, water, mining, impact assessment, environmental process coordination and legal risk assessment, to name but a few. Kenneth was later involved with environmental aspects of planning law and in the management of Development Tribunal applications. He also assisted corporates in resolving water- and waste management disputes by acting as specialist mediator and securing resolved matters by contract.

Kenneth further gained extensive experience in the development of integrated enviro-legal software packages, both as a management tool as well as for the purpose of acquiring ISO14001 accreditation.

In addition to publishing and presenting papers o­n a variety of environmental legal issues to consulting firms as well as industrial and mining sector audiences, Kenneth has acted as moderator o­n environmental law examinations for the Tshwane University of Technology and also recently co-presented a course in environmental law to students at the University of Pretoria.

During 2002, Kenneth, along with James Cross established the firm Cameron Cross Inc., providing Environmental, Health and Safety Law sevices.
